Development Director

The Development Director is a full-time position.  The Development Director is responsible for a broad range of fund development and communications activities for the organization including:  cultivation and management of individual donor, foundation, corporate, and campaign relationships, annual fund appeals, database management and donor correspondence.  The person will manage, direct, and support the Development Team staff and will oversee the execution of all marketing and communication activities, both digital and traditional, for the organization.  The Development Director will provide oversight and support for agency sponsored events so as to achieve the organization’s fundraising and community engagement objectives while ensuring a consistent brand message and position.  This is a position that requires an ability to think strategically and work with multiple teams within the organization.

Shelter Coordinators

Shelter House is currently seeking 2 part-time (20-25 hours/week) Shelter Coordinators to help run the shelter during the evening and overnight hours. Shelter Coordinators are critical to our mission of moving people beyond homelessness, as they run our Wait List process and help orient new residents. Coordinators also monitor the shelter during quiet hours to ensure the safety of the residents. A successful coordinator should be able to manage multiple responsibilities, have a welcoming personality, and be able to handle stressful situations. Shelter Coordinators would be expected to work one of two potential shift times: 5PM-10:30PM or 10PM-8:15AM.
