Moving somebody out of homelessness isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution, particularly for those experiencing chronic homelessness who are cycling between public and private interventions. Through research and collaboration with organizations across our community, we have undertaken the Housing First project, an innovative solution towards housing the most vulnerable among us. With land purchased in October 2016, our Housing First project (pictured above) will provide 24 one-bedroom apartments, onsite offices for case managers, and a clinic for behavioral and health issues. We hope to break ground in March 2018, with residents moving in by the end of 2018.
