Position Title: Permanent Supportive Housing VISTA
Reports to: Permanent Supportive Housing Program Manager

The Permanent Supportive Housing VISTA position is intended to build capacity by strengthening relationships with existing community partnerships and developing additional professional partnerships/volunteers for behavioral health supports. The VISTA will also research methods of PSH and peer support specialist programs which have evidence for community need as well as potential for funding. They will organize events for PSH programs and other designated VISTA events as they arise. Finally, the VISTA will assist case manager as needed and attend various weekly/monthly meetings with other staff, community members, and clients.

Position Title: Housing Stability VISTA
Reports to: Rapid Rehousing Program Manager

The Housing Stability VISTA will design and implement a new program for Shelter House that will provide furniture and essential household items to individuals and families that have recently moved into permanent housing after experiencing homelessness. In a new collaborative effort with Iowa Valley Habitat for Humanity, this position will design, implement, and provide oversight for the furniture distribution program. In addition, this position will develop ongoing, research-based processes to collect data and report on outcomes from programs within Shelter House; ultimately leading to future development of additional services for individuals and families experiencing homelessness.

Position Title: Volunteer Coordinator VISTA
Reports to: Emergency Services Director

The Volunteer Coordinator VISTA will continue to support the recruitment, development, and management of the Shelter House volunteer program. Responsibilities include the recruitment, orientation, and training of new volunteers to perform a host of job responsibilities within the organization, including clerical, shelter support, and employment lab. Additionally, the Volunteer Coordinator VISTA will refine the documentation and reporting process for the Drop-In Center, and assist with major fundraising events throughout the year.

Position Title: Shelter Coordinator
Reports to: Shelter Manager

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide direct support services that are high quality, consistent, and in accordance with the Shelter House mission, vision, and values to people who are experiencing homelessness in an emergency shelter setting.
2. Manage client records and files to ensure accuracy and confidentiality.
3. Maintain and regulate the facility to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
4. Work with other Shelter House staff to ensure all emergency and housing programs are working together to provide quality support services to people who are experiencing homelessness.

Position: Cross Park Place Coordinator
Reports to: Permanent Supportive Housing Manager

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide a welcoming environment to tenants, donors, volunteers, and the general public.
2. Build rapport and maintain positive professional relationships with the individuals and other service providers
3. Intervene and appropriately de-escalate crisis situations.
4. Provide oversight and supervision so that a safe and healthy environment is maintained at all times.
5. Communicate information regarding services to tenants.
6. Record and maintain accurate documentation in a timely manner, including but not limited to collateral
contact, medical, face-to-face, HMIS reports.
7. Attend monthly team meetings to review client situations, concerns and issues.
